Editorial Policy

Purpose

Every Portal Tech article must help a reader answer a real question, perform a reproducible test, or make a better-informed decision. We do not publish articles simply to cover a keyword.

Research and testing

We prefer standards, vendor documentation, public agencies, and original technical documentation. When a procedure is tested, the article states the environment, assumptions, expected result, and limits. When direct testing is not possible, we say so.

Authorship and review

Articles identify their author and show publication and update dates. Luan Wagner dos Santos, a Computer Networks graduate, reviews networking and troubleshooting content. Material outside that scope is checked against appropriate primary sources.

Use of AI tools

AI tools may assist with outlining, language review, or identifying questions that need research. They are not treated as sources. A human editor verifies claims, selects references, rewrites the final article, and remains responsible for publication.

Commercial independence

Advertising supports the site but does not determine conclusions. Sponsored material or affiliate relationships, if introduced, will be clearly disclosed before the relevant content.

Updates

We update articles when standards, interfaces, or security guidance change. Substantive corrections are recorded through our Corrections Policy.
